Confidence, self-esteem, and self-reliance are words that sound
good. They are words that all good parents and teachers try their
best to instill in their children. But reality is, there are hours
in the day that our children are not with us. There are hours in
the day that our children’s minds are exposed to negative thoughts
and doubts about their own abilities. Whether negative comes from
other children or adults, it’s hurtful to their present stability
and harmful to their future success. These self-disapproving thoughts
become the future enemy of your child’s adult life.
Unfortunately, we can’t abolish all risks of emotional wounds
for our children, but we can give them armor to protect themselves.
We can give them the armor of confidence, a sense of worth, and self-respect.
Give your teenager nine hours that will plant seeds of self-worth
and send them into adulthood with a strong foundation of leadership
qualities.
